The cafe is now open Saturday 8am to 1pm in addition to Monday to Friday hours of 7am to 2pm.
Owner Jodie Morris said the extended opening hours came from customer demand.
"We get asked daily, whether in person, phone or internet if we are open weekends and people are pretty disappointed when we say no," Jodie told Food & Wine. "Everyone wants to try our delicious pastries, cruffins in particular. Our hours suit our local demographic which is businesses but doesn't suit anyone else out of our immediate area that work the usual Monday to Friday 9 to 5. There is nothing open around us on weekends, so parking is a breeze and it is free!"
Pop in on Saturdays for coffee and the cafe's full array of our pastries such croissant-donut hybrids cronuts, as almond croissants, pain au chocolat, danishes, scones with French jams and fresh whipped cream, chocolate lava cakes, triple choc brownies and more.
There will also be cruffins in staple flavours of Nutella, salted caramel, passionfruit and white chocolate, and lemon curd. Keep an eye out for special flavours too, such as the Italian favourite of tiramisu. Check the cafe's Facebook or Instagram for today's specials.
The high demand for cruffins means the pastries are limited to five per customer, with those after bigger orders urged to order ahead. Orders need to be be placed by Thursday at 1pm and paid for at time of ordering.
"Whilst we will have baked extras for the Saturday crowd, I would highly suggest this option, as people have come in and been disappointed that their favourite flavour has sold out early," Jodie said.
Pastries aside, The Little French Cafe's Saturday offering will also include a limited cafe menu for other food choices, such as their signature muesli with yoghurt and berries, fresh fruit salad, toasted croissants with ham, cheese and tomato or chicken, cheese and avocado, and a selection of toasties with delicious fillings on foccacia and turkish bread.

CRUFFINS! Cruffins! Cruffins! Now I have your attention.
Cruffins are a hybrid of croissant and muffin, made with croissant pastry baked in a muffin tin, then filled.
Oozing with filling, the cruffins not only look delicious, they taste amazing. Imagine biting through the flaky, buttery croissant pastry to the oozing filling inside.
Broadmeadow’s The Little French Cafe sells hundreds of delicious cruffins a week filled with Nutella, salted caramel, passionfruit and white chocolate, and lemon curd. They also have a rotating selection of special fillings, see their Facebook or Instagram for the latest tempting creation.
To celebrate the cafe’s expanded opening hours to include Saturday, The Little French Cafe is giving away a pack of four cruffins to one lucky Food & Wine reader.
To enter the draw, send the word ‘‘cruffins’’ with your name, address and phone number to freelunch@theherald.com.au. Entries close on Monday at 9am. The winner must pick up the cruffins from The Little French Cafe, Broadmeadow.
