Having just turned 10, Bailey's game has a maturity that belies his age, competing and winning against much older opponents.
Bailey comes from a tennis-mad family – mum Donna and dad Steve are highly regarded local players.
Bailey recently gained selection in the Maitland/Newcastle Diocesan Primary School tennis team to compete for a place in the New South Wales Polding team participating in the New South Wales PSSA championships.
He will travel to Lismore in February to take on the the best primary age players from the Lismore, Maitland/Newcastle, Broken Bay, Armidale, Bathurst and Wilcannia Falls dioceses.
Lake Macquarie Tennis Centre is eagerly preparing for its senior inter-club challenge with Nelson Bay Tennis Club on Sunday, December 13, at Nelson Bay.
A team of 20 is to be selected to take on Nelson Bay with entries already mounting up.
However, places are still available for those club players wishing to participate.
