HIDDEN cameras will be nestled in Hunter state forests in a bid to catch arsonists responsible for a rash of suspicious fires.
The 70 infra-red cameras will be dotted around the region, as well as north coast areas.
Forestry Corporation of NSW’s forest protection manager Karel Zejbrlik said several fires sparked in the past week were suspected of being man-made.
Mr Zejbrlik said it is sickening that anyone would recklessly endanger people’s lives by deliberately lighting fires.
