Scratchley’s Restaurant is known for serving fresh seafood alongside one of Newcastle’s best views.
But it all began back in 1989 when the old Stockton ferry terminal became vacant. Donna and Neil Slater worked extraordinarily hard to reclaim the building to create Scratchley’s.
They traded for 10 years in a building built with love, passion and very little money. Then in 1999 they were able to revamp the site into the more environmentally-friendly, modern Scratchley’s of today.
In November 2016 the business and the building went under more redevelopment and the team opened the latest edition to the western end of the iconic site - Battlesticks Bar.
