A Cessnock man is now more than $100,000 richer after winning the lotto.
The happy winner was the only first prize in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw on January 23 and took home a total of $101,250.
Speaking with a NSW Lotteries official to confirm the win, the man admitted he was shocked at the number of prizes he had won.
“Sh*t yeah. I never win anything, but now I’ve won the big one” he said.
“I usually buy five consecutive numbers ...and I checked my numbers online and there it was”
When asked how the man planned to spend his Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot windfall he revealed it would go a long way.
“It will really help me out. It will pay off my mortgage and go a long way,” he said.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning five consecutive number entry from Cessnock Newsagency, 73-75 Allandale Road, Cessnock.
Amie Bowe, manager of Cessnock Newsagency, said it was exciting for the outlet to have sold another first prize winning entry.
“This is the second first prize winning entry we have sold in just over six months,” she said.
“We have been telling all of our customers about the win.”
