
INQUIRIES are continuing after a man barricaded himself inside a Muswellbrook home on Wednesday, negotiating with police for several hours.
The man, 51, was arrested after the police operation concluded peacefully at about 3.30pm.
Officers had been called to the Tindale Street property about noon.
Specialist police joined Hunter Valley police district officers at the scene, commencing negotiations with the man as he remained inside the property.
The arrest was made without incident. It is unclear if anyone else was inside the property.
The 51-year-old man was taken to Muswellbrook police station.
He is being assessed by paramedics, NSW Police said in a statement.
