Hexham, Tourle Street and Cormorant Road across Kooragang Island will all have changed traffic conditions in place as Roads and Maritime Services swings into action.
Asphalting, line marking and adding safety barriers at Tourle Street will run from 7am to 6pm, weather permitting, from Tuesday.
Occasional weekend and night work is also expected as the project progresses.
At Hexham, a six-kilometre section of the Pacific Highway will be surveyed in a staged project examining the road reserve, property boundaries, driveways and footpaths.
The work is expected to run from Tuesday until early June.
That site will also include some weeknight works between 8pm and 4pm.
A 40km/h speed limit will be enforced in both areas during the works.
Roads and Maritime thanked motorists for their patience during this time. Live updates are available through the Live Traffic NSW app or by calling 132 701.
