Raymond Terrace lawn bowler Natasha Scott returns to the Gold Coast greens on Thursday in sight of her second Commonwealth Games medal this week.
The 27-year-old will line-up for Australia against England in the women’s triples semi-final at Broadbeach Bowls Club in the morning (9am) with the play-offs following that same afternoon (5:30pm).
Scott, Carla Krizanic and Rebecca van Asch earned the top-four spot for the Jackaroos after a comprehensive 30-5 quarter-final victory over Northern Ireland on Wednesday night.
Earlier in the day the hosts rounded out an undefeated section by beating Fiji 24-9. Australia had also accounted for Canada (20-13), India (20-11) and Papua New Guinea (32-12) in preliminary matches from Monday afternoon.
This followed a maiden Commonwealth Games gold medal for Scott on Monday morning when she skipped the Australian women’s fours team to an 18-16 title victory over South Africa.
Meanwhile, former Ettalong bowler Aron Sherriff helped the Australian men’s fours overcome Norfolk Island on Wednesday night.
