KRIS Lees moved within a win of his best season tally with a double at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

The Newcastle trainer, who had a career-best 161 winners in 2016-17, has 160.5 victories nationwide with seven weeks left in the season after Feelin The Love and Chalmers produced a back-to-back double.
Feelin The Love, a seven-year-old mare, won a 1200m benchmark 74 handicap in a photo-finish before Chalmers won a 1600m three-year-old race by three-quarters of a length.
James McDonald rode Chalmers, which scored a fourth win in 11 starts and could be headed to the Grafton Guineas.
“He did a good job with his weight [58.5kg], he’s not a big horse,” Lees told Sky Racing.
“James was always looking to get off the fence and he got the perfect trail through. It was really good to see him win a city race here for Prime Thoroughbreds.
“He did everything right there and he’s certainly going the right way.”
“He’s up to Saturday grade and I’m looking forward to getting him back there.”
