Emergency services were called to the scene at Common Road just after 12.30pm.

The fire destroyed 38 vehicles and a Hyundai Robex 55 excavator before it was extinguished. No injuries were reported.

Officers from Hunter Valley Police District established the crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, but Police say they are treating it as suspicious.
