LIVE At The Foreshore is back with a bang after naming a triple threat of headliners in Australian pop divas Kate Ceberano and Marcia Hines and English disco king Leo Sayer.
The baby boomer-targeted festival returns to Newcastle Foreshore on Saturday March 16, 2019 after last year’s edition was held at Wickham Park due to the Supercars construction.
Other acts booked for Live At The Foreshore include controversial working-class hero Shannon Noll, pub rockers Thirsty Merc, 1927, Pseudo Echo, The Badloves, Eurogliders, Wendy Matthews, Mi-Sex, Dale Ryder and Newcastle rock legends DV8.
For the first time in the festival’s history Ceberano, Hines and Sayer will all perform full sets, while the other acts will play their hits.
Ceberano has been mainstay of the Australian music scene since the late ’80s when she enjoyed an ARIA No.2 single with Bedroom Eyes.
The 51-year-old later received commercial and critical acclaim for starring as Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar and she scored a top-10 single with Pash in 1998.
Hines, a one-time Newcastle resident, has been known as Australia’s Queen Of Pop since establishing her career in the ’70s with a string of hits like You and Something’s Missing (In My Life).
