BEACH WATCH

Onshore winds kicking in early again today with the northern corners starting to handle the conditions. A lot of sand beginning to wash into the southern corners due to the sweeps. Swell easing from the East at 1.5m. Winds North to N/E freshening for the afternoon. Tides dropping to a mid morning low and may find a reform off Cliff and Dixon. Newcastle beach off the Alley for rights and point for lefts. Redhead and Frenchmans to the south. Up at Port Stephens try Birubi. Sweeps are stronger on the lower tides and waters slightly murky in. Some erosion at Newcastle and Dixon. Only swim at patrolled beaches in the flagged areas. Water temp 16C. - Dave Anderson
