A two-year-old boy has been flown to John Hunter Hospital after being found floating in Tuggerah Lake at The Entrance on Monday.
The boy was “submerged underwater for about two minutes,” a NSW Ambulance spokesman said.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before the Westpac Rescue Helicopter arrived and its clinical team provided assistance.
“He was treated in the back of an ambulance and taken to John Hunter Hospital,” the spokesman said.
Three NSW Ambulance crews attended the call.
An update on the boy’s condition was not available, the spokesperson said.
The Entrance is a popular holiday destination on the Central Coast.
Its population swells during the Christmas and New Year’s period.
