Eleven-time winner Molony and four-time victor Haddon return to Merewether this weekend for another crack at the Surfest Wandiyali ATSI Indigenous Classic.
The pair have dominated proceedings at the men's event, splitting the spoils over the last two editions.
Forster's Haddon was successful 12 months ago with Molony juggling commitments for his North Shelly club at the Australian Boradriders Battle national final at nearby Newcastle beach.
Molony got the job done in 2017 when the perpetual trophy was named in his honour.
"They will both be back at it again," Wandiyali community engagement and events coordinator Shannon Pratten-Eggins said.
Newcastle's Stan Moylan has entered.
The 2015 women's champion Summer Simon, from the NSW south coast, returns after being sidelined with injury last year.
Longboard and junior crowns are also up for grabs.
There is $22,000 worth of prize money on offer across the four divisions on Saturday and Sunday.
