The 18-year-old, playing just her second Super W games, finished off a superb piece of play which was started by captain Ash Hewson.
The fullback tip-toed along the sideline to reel in a kick and then flung the ball over her shoulder into play. The Tahs then swung the ball to the left to Stewart on the far wing. Receiving the ball 30 metres out the former touch player produced two in-and-aways to slice through the cover defence and dive over.
The win by the Tahs was their second straight to start the season.
Stewart's Newcastle Waratahs teammate Katrina Barker also played well at inside centre.
The Waratahs travel to Western Australia next weekend to meet the Force, who are fresh from a 38-10 win over the Melbourne Rebels.
