Volunteers behind the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) hosted their Cuddle Your Kids event on Saturday, a fundraiser for Singleton's Atkins family.
Five-year-old twins Matylda and Scarlett Atkins and their brother Blake, 11, died after a fire consumed their Brittliffe Close home in the early hours of June 26.
Saturday's family-friendly event had something for everyone; hot lunch, a jumping castle, special visitors from the Hunter Valley Zoo, animal rides, a raffle, and educational activities with the local fire brigade.
Funds were raised from food and drink sales, as well as the gold coin donations collected from all attendees on the day.
Lloyd Grimshaw, a spokesperson for RRT, says the family's loss hit the community hard and his team wanted to help out however they could.
"The spirit of our local volunteers is one of care and compassion, and we are always looking for ways that RRT can serve the community, so being part of this fundraiser was a no-brainer for us," he said.
