It wasn't the best start for Delves, defeated 10-nil in the first set, but she played splendid bowls to take the second set 10-3 and the three-end tie-break 5-0.
Delves and Robert Briglia, who won the men's final, will represent Australia in singles and mixed pairs at the new World Bowls Indoor Championships, an enhanced version of the existing World Cup historically staged at Warilla.
The best-performed men from our area were Charlestown's Daniel Hill, defeated in the semi-final 10-7 and 7 all by last year's champion Aaron Teys from Warilla, while 18-year-old Tailor Appleby (Kurri) won his way to the quarter-finals before running into Hill, who won a very tight match 6-6, 7-5.
KEDWELL DOUBLE
Belmont's recently appointed bowls co-ordinator Michael Kedwell claimed two gold medals in last week's State Disability Championships.
He combined with Maitland City's Peter Jackson to win the pairs and dominated in the singles, winning the final 21-5. Kedwell said he was looking forward to the opening of the new bowls facility at Belmont Golf Club later this month or next, depending on weather, with two undercover greens suited for the state and country's biggest events.
YOUNG GUNS
Raymond Terrace will host the Under 25 Challenge this weekend, with players representing Zones 4, 6, 10, 13 and 15 as well as two sides from Zone 2 competing for the trophy.
The competition is a six-a-side event playing set play in singles, pairs and triples in a round-robin format where first past the post after seven rounds wins the event. Four rounds will be played Saturday.

Round 2 of the Three Threes takes place this afternoon.
