Ambulance NSW responded to the incident on Sunday morning.
A spokesperson for the service said the teenager had sustained injuries to her face and lip. She had lacerations on her body and lower limb injuries.
Paramedics transported the girl from Stockton Beach to John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A rescue helicopter was deployed to the scene of the incident but paramedics transported the girl to John Hunter Hospital by road.
