The Maitland Pickers could be without two of their starting forwards for the rest of the President's Cup season with Sam Anderson now ruled out from concussion and James Taylor in doubt because of Queensland border restrictions relating to coronavirus.

Pickers lock Anderson was advised by medical staff, including Univeristy of Newcastle clinical neuropsychologist Andrew Gardner, to miss the remaining games for 2020 following a head knock suffered against Hills on August 2.
Maitland prop Taylor, who joined the club last month because South Logan was sidelined with Q-Cup cancelled, is no longer allowed to travel interstate under new government measures introduced over the weekend.
"It's a double blow for us," Pickers coach Matt Lantry said. "They have been two of our best performing forwards, but it is what it is."
Lantry said he was resigned to losing Anderson for the statewide campaign but hadn't completely ruled out Taylor, who is considering a temporary relocation from Queensland to the Hunter.
"He [Taylor] is 50-50 for this weekend, but if not we're hopeful about the next weekend," the mentor said.
The undefeated competition leaders, who are coming off the bye, host the Western Rams at Maitland on Saturday before visiting Thirroul on August 22.
Lantry said Faitotoa Faitotoa, Jarred Anderson and Henry Penn were possible replacements for the Pickers' first 13. Cal Burgess and Marvin Filipo also provide options. Pat Mata'utia and Sam Mataora (work) are both still unavailable.
