A man in his 50s is currently in isolation where his household contacts have tested negative for the virus but are also isolating.
The source of infection is a previously reported cluster in the Sydney CBD, Central Coast Health said via its social media channels.
Anyone who travelled on the 6.49am Sydney-bound train departing Woy Woy on Monday for Wynyard station, or the northbound 5.31pm train departing Town Hall station to Woy Woy the same day, will be considered a "casual contact" of the confirmed case, Central Coast Health advised.
Likewise for anyone who travelled aboard the Sydney-bound 6.49am train departing Woy Woy on Tuesday to Gordon Station, or the northbound train departing Hornsby station at 7.53am to Woy Woy at 8.28am.
Those considered a casual contact should be alert for symptoms oft eh virus and to seek a test immediately if they begin to experience them, and self-isolate until they receive the results, Central Coast Health said.
Anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough or shortness of breath has been urged to get tested.
There is a walk-in COVID-19 testing clinic at Woy Woy Hospital on Ocean Beach Road that will be operating between 8.30am and 4pm from Friday, August 28, to Thursday, September 3.
Residents can also seek a test at Gosford Hospital on Holden Street, where they are encouraged to call ahead on 4320 5055.
Wyong Hopsital also offers a COVID-19 testing clinic where residents are encouraged to phone ahead on 4394 9200.
Central Coast Health said there were no other exposure sites identified on the Central Coast and that these train journeys were the only risk locations.
