Souths (14) now move four clear of Norths (10), who had the bye, on the men's Hunter Coast Premier Hockey League ladder.
University (2), who also lost 13-0 to Norths three days earlier, will need to back up against Wests (2) on Thursday and undefeated leaders Gosford (18) this Sunday.
Brinley Gallagher scored twice for Gosford during an 8-1 triumph over visiting Wests on September 13.
Lloyd Radcliff, Mick Taylor, Stuart Fletcher, Hugh Wickert, Jake Wiggan and Ehren Hazel also found the back of the net for the Magpies.
