A teenager has been charged after allegedly using a knife to rob a man in a Rutherford carpark.

Police said officers were called about 10.10pm on Sunday January 24 to the Arthur Street carpark following reports of an armed robbery.
A man, 37, sitting in his car was allegedly approached by the teenager, who produced a knife, threatened him and ordered him to hand over his wallet.
The man threw his wallet to the ground and the teenager picked it up and ran from the scene.
Officers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District arrested a boy, 15, about 1:30pm on February 5.
He was taken to Maitland Police Station, where he was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in a children's court today.
