The May 11 event will feature Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation general manager Ellie Wells, Jenny's Place community relations co-ordinator Donna George and City of Newcastle project manager Kate Britton.
NFP Connect founder Grace McLean said events were a crucial fundraising tool for most non-profits however the sector had been hit hard by shifting regulations and social distancing.
The panel will share their experiences in navigating the regulations, preparation and innovation necessary to run successful events.

The reason for the events is that a lot of people just stopped doing them because it was so hard to navigate. Even those trying to navigate now aren't sure if they're doing it right because there's ongoing adjustments. You now have to have plan b, c and d up your sleeve. These three speakers were chosen by the team because of the diversity they bring but connection to community.
Everyone is learning to adjust - charities had to shift really fast and those that didn't just seem to shut down for a period of time because they couldn't provide the service.
A lot of charities relied on volunteers and they were over 60 who were immediately sent into quarantine.
The shift was big but I'm not sure we've seen the actual impact yet due to everyone getting the stimulus package gave people extra cash where they didn't need the services they were use too.
