A man will face court again in November, charged with allegedly having parties at Shortland that were illegal under the state's COVID-19 public health orders.

Nathan Koko did not personally appear when the matter was briefly mentioned in Newcastle Local Court on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old was charged for breaching public health orders after he allegedly held illegal parties at a home on Sandgate Road on three consecutive nights from July 28 to 30.
Two women, aged 20 and 21, were also charged for attending the gatherings.
Two men, aged 26 and 21, and another woman, aged 20, were each fined $1000 for breaching the COVID-19 public health orders.
Newcastle City Police District investigators handed out the Court Attendance Notices and fines last month after conducting inquiries into the alleged gatherings.
In relation to Mr Koko's matter, Magistrate Alex Mijovich on Tuesday afternoon adjourned the matter to Newcastle Local Court on November 11.
Mr Koko is not in custody over the matter.
