The Jets announced on Thursday that their A-League men's team major sponsor, Port of Newcastle, would also back the their women's team for the next three seasons.
It follows the recent rebranding of the women's competition from W-League to A-League Women.
"Our women's team should receive the same recognition and respect as the men and this announcement supports that goal," Mattiske said in a statement.
"With the confirmation of the Port of Newcastle's support, we're now looking forward to adding to our squad - and to confirming other major partnerships which will support the Jets Women's team."
"Our A-League Women's players will be very proud to have the Port of Newcastle's logo feature on the front of their home and away jerseys.
"The shift to a new gold jersey for our A-League Women's team marks a new period for the club, and it is great to see Port of Newcastle, such a big player in this region's business community, make a strong commitment to supporting women in football."
Also on Thursday, the Jets announced the signing of young goalkeeper Georgia Boric.
Boric, 23, has represented Australia at Junior Matildas level and was part of the Canberra United squad before last season without making her national league debut.
"The opportunity to compete for a position in the A-League Women's competition is really exciting to me," Boric said in a statement.
"I'm excited to step back into the professional scene and push myself outside my comfort zone.
"I hope to make my debut in the league and to add to the team environment and culture, driving my teammates to work as a unit and reach our goals."
Jets coach Ash Wilson said: "Georgia is an exciting prospect having going through the National Youth system. As well as having desirable technical qualities, she is motivated to achieve and loves a challenge."
