Hunter New England Health flagged three venues on Monday evening,
While the Newcastle hotel was deemed low risk, the other two exposures were deemed casual contact risks.
That means anyone who attended the Singleton or Maitland sites must get tested and isolate immediately, while patrons at the pub must monitor for symptoms and get tested only if they develop.
Singleton Gym and Swim's weights floor on Civic Avenue was exposed on Wednesday October 13 from 6.15pm and 7.35pm and Thursday October 14 from 5.20pm to 6.45pm.
High Street's New World Tobacconist in Maitland was also exposed on Monday October 11 from 7am to 1pm.
In Newcastle, Honeysuckle Social was a low-risk venue on Wednesday October 13 from 6pm to 8pm.
The sites were named hours after health authorities confirmed a Cessnock woman in her 30s had died in a Newcastle hospital with COVID-19.
Vaccination rates have also jumped in the Hunter over the past week.
