The second annual Retired Police Day will be held across NSW on Tuesday, September 10.
Retired police from the Lake Macquarie Local Area Command are invited to attend a special event at Club Macquarie, Argenton, from 10am.
"Retired Police Day will not only recognise the work of former police, it will provide an opportunity for yesterday's officers to meet and mix with today's," a spokesperson for the event said.
Guest speaker will be retired Captain Tim Brewer, from the Oregon Police Department, in the US. To confirm their attendance, retired police are asked to RSVP by emailing Inspector Bruce McGregor at mcgr1bru@police.nsw.gov.au
When confirming their attendance, retired police officers will be asked to provide their name, partner's name, former rank and command, and their preferred contact details.
