Carole Jennings and Peter Dempsey's English country-style garden has gradually become one of Lake Macquarie's most spectacular displays over the past 15 years.
Every year the couple string up thousands of LED lights across their home, opening up their front yard for dozens of people to enjoy throughout December.
They collect donations in a bucket for Ronald McDonald House and last year they raised $800.
It takes the couple about three weeks to put up all the lights and displays, which includes roof ornaments, blow-up Santas and a snow machine.
Mr Dempsey said their house often became the talking point of the town at this time of year with all of the fanfare.
"Carole comes up with all the ideas and I get to execute them," Mr Dempsey said.
The couple spend about $1000 every year on new lights and displays.
This year they have added a frosty cave with a train set, which runs down the side of their house.
■ Carole Jennings and Peter Dempsey's house is located at 76 Withers Street, West Wallsend. All are welcome.
