SATURDAY marked the start of the Westlakes District Netball Association (WDNA) finals and yet again weather had a say in proceedings.
The first round saw WDNA's 10-years, Junior 1 and Junior 2 take the court.
In the 10-years major semi-final Bolton Point Breezers defeated Wangi Netball Stars 14-12 in a very close game.
The Breezers will now move into the grand final, while the Netball Stars will play off against Rathmines Grasshoppers this Saturday for a spot in the grand-final.
In the Junior 1 league, Morisset Miracles defeated Rathmines Avengers 23-10 to secure a grand-final berth.
The Avengers will play Wangi Infinities this Saturday for a place in the grand final.
Junior 2 saw a hard fought game between Bolton Point Team Supreme and Rathmines Sea Wolves, with Bolton Point cementing their place in the grand final with a 22-19 victory.
Rathmines will play Bolton Point Smarties on Saturday for a grand-final spot.
In Intermediate 2, Rathmines Zeros defeated Morisset Sapphires 32-17 to move ahead to the grand final, while Sapphires will play Wangi Swifts this weekend to decide who will contest the decider.
Divisions 1 through to 4 had to be postponed due to torrential rain hitting Wangi just after half-time.
