Police were alerted to the theft by the dog's owners about 7pm on Monday, September 8, when they noticed their British bulldog and pug were missing from their yard.
The pug was handed in to a nearby vet clinic and staff contacted its owner. However, the bulldog was still missing.
Following further investigations by police, a home in Arcadia Vale was searched about 7.30pm, and the missing dog was recovered.
A 38-year-old woman has been issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of steal dog.
