THE lead-up to the Westlakes District Netball Association's All-Ages Carnival had everyone wondering whether it was going to happen.
The storm had left the clubhouse with no power, minor flooding, roof panels missing and a 24-metre eucalypt ready to fall over on the driveway.
Thank you, Steve and Carmel Windus, for your efforts to get the premises cleaned up and thanks to the boys from Wangi Fire Station who removed dangerous limbs from damaged trees.
Thanks to their help, the carnival went ahead.
In the 17/open division, Dubbo 17s went through the day undefeated to win outright while Westlakes open finished second and Westlakes 17s finished third in division.
In 14-15 Division, Great Lakes 15s cruised through the day undefeated to win their division on 14 points, WDNA 15s finished second on 12 points.
Westlakes 14s finished fourth on eight points and to their credit only lost to the 15-years teams.
In 12-13 Division, Nelson Bay 13s went undefeated all day to win outright, Westlakes 13s finished second and in equal fourth were Westlakes 12s.
The two WDNA 11s development squads played very strongly to finish second and third.
This Saturday, round five of Westlakes' winter competition will be held while the representative teams head to Singleton for an All-Ages Carnival.
