Nominations for the 2015 Philips Community Sports Dad of the Year Award are now open.
The award seeks to celebrate the local blokes who do everything from invest hundreds of hours to coaching the local junior team; to getting up early every weekend to paint fresh lines on the pitch; to raising funds for new equipment and keeping community sport alive.
The winning dad will score $1000 in prizes from Philips, as well as a $5000 Rebel Sports voucher to donate to the community sports club of his choice.
Last year, the Philips Community Sports Dad of the Year was long-time Byron Bay surf coach Gary Timperley, a father of two and former professional surfer who now devotes his time to training local kids.
To nominate your dad, or a dad you know for this year’s award visit sportsdads.com.au/community and tell Philips in no more than 100 words why your chosen dad should win.
Entries close this Sunday, August 23.
