One of the most imaginatively dressed teams at Newcastle/Lake Macquarie Relay For Life each year, the Vanguard Group have been participating in the event for three years.
During that time they have raised more than $15,000 for the Cancer Council initiative.
This year the team are excited to take on the Corporate Challenge - a new component of the now 12-hour event.
Businesses are encouraged to sign up and clock as many laps of Glendale's Hunter Sports Centre as possible in 12 hours.
The highest overall fundraising team will win a private Gold Class Reading Cinema screening for 40 people.
The Vanguard Group's goal is to raise $5000, and it has already raised $250.
Team member Eloise Hatton said the group looked forward to the event every year.
"We love the atmosphere of the event," she said.
"It's great to see so many people from all walks of life together for a common goal. You walk away from the event feeling truly inspired."
The team have not yet settled on a dress-up theme for this year, but rest assured, you will be able to spot them from a mile away.
Other corporate teams who have already signed up to the challenge are QBE, Dalton Partners, Hunter Water, Varley Group and Daracon Group.
■ Newcastle/Lake Macquarie Relay For Life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 11am to 11pm at Hunter Sports Centre, Glendale. For more information visit relayforlife.org.au.
