Spiderman and Captain America stunned the crowd with their rooftop arrival to the Wyee Roundup, in the grounds of Wyee Public School, on Friday night.
The event was buzzing with noise and activity just after 6pm when heads starting turning.
There, high on the roof of one of the school buildings, were Spiderman and Captain America.
The costumed duo then scampered along the rooftop, shimmied down an awning, and traipsed carefully atop the covered pathway to an even taller school building.
There, they again dashed to the apex of the roof, pausing at the top to savour the applause.
When they eventually jumped to the ground, the crime-fighting pair were swamped by enthusiastic children as they walked to a grassed section of the playground.
That’s when the fun really started. Two armed ninja villains attempted to gatecrash the party, engaging the superheros in a fight scene that had kids enthralled, and parents smiling.
The performance, by the acclaimed Action Reaction Entertainment team, from Sydney, was a highlight of the event.
