MITCH Cooper is no longer a Newcastle Jet.
The midfielder, 22, struck an agreement with the club to leave.
The Vanuatu-born player came to the Hunter in 2012 from Gold Coast United. He played 33 A-League matches and notched a single goal.
“I appreciate everything that the Club has done for me since I arrived from Queensland.” he said.
“The supporters and staff have been excellent to me, so I wish everyone all the best.”
The Newcastle Herald has reported negotiations between the Jets and Mark Bridge are ongoing, with the club offering a deal believed to be for two and a half seasons.
