The aged and community care provider has been nominated for a 2017 Hunter Region Training Award, a 2017 Aged and Community Services Award, and a 2017 Australian HR Award.
Anglican Care’s chief executive officer Colin Osborne said the award nominations were fabulous recognition for the 900-plus staff “who are the lifeblood” of the organisation.
“We love to recognise individuals and teams for their outstanding achievements,” Mr Osborne said.
At the 2017 NSW Training Awards held last Friday in Newcastle, Anglican Care was chosen as a finalist for its training of Grace Taylor in the category of schools-based apprentice/trainee of the year.
She has such a bright future ahead of her.

“Grace has been a great fit for Anglican Care,” Anglican Care’s human resources manager, Catherine Mordaunt, said.
“She is patient, polite and throughout her traineeship has developed both her professional and personal skills.
“Even though she did not win the ultimate award, we are still so incredibly proud of Grace and everything she has achieved. She has such a bright future ahead of her.”
In the Aged and Community Services Awards, Anglican Care employee Jacqui Culver is a finalist in the category for employee excellence.
The annual awards celebrate excellence across the not-for-profit aged and community care sector and recognise the people who contribute to the quality of life of older people and people with disabilities and their carers.
Ms Culver is a nurse practitioner in palliative care and advanced dementia. Her role encompasses clinical leadership, education, quality improvement and research.
“This is a well-deserved honour for Jacqui,” Mr Osborne said.
“Her compassion, professional integrity and ethical conduct is well respected not just within Anglican Care but in the wider aged care community.”
And in the 2017 Human Resources Awards, Anglican Care is a finalist in the category for best health and wellbeing program for its collaboration with work, health and safety analysis company dorsaVi to pinpoint the physical demands on laundry and hospitality staff through the use of wearable body sensors.
The winners of the 2017 ACSA NSW Awards for Excellence will be announced on Thursday, June 22.
Winners of the Australian HR Awards 2017 will be announced on September 8.
