Plants of all maturity levels were found inside the Honeysuckle Drive home along with lights, transformers and growth chemicals.
The house had been retrofitted with fake internal walls and a “drying room” where harvested cannabis had been laid out ready for sale.
“This was a well established and extremely sophisticated operation,” Port Stephens-Hunter Detective Sergeant Mitch Dubojski said.
Police stumbled upon the commercial setup after making inquiries in relation to a traffic matter.
Sergeant Dubojski said officers saw a man run into the house, and as they approached they noticed a hole at the rear of the building as well as a distinct odour coming from the home.
Police are yet to make an arrest, but inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
