NEIGHBOURS have pulled two people from a burning Cooranbong property in the early hours of Monday.
Crews saw black smoke billowing over Freemans Drive about 6.40am before they arrived at the property, which was fully involved in fire.
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesman said the three crews on the scene saw flames through the windows of the single-level property after they arrived.
It is understood neighbours on the scene helped render immediate first aid.
The NSW Rural Fire Service was also assisting with firefighting efforts, which were still underway at 9am.
A Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service spokesman said the chopper was sent to Cooranbong about 7.20am.
The spokesman said the crew treated a 40-year-old man for smoke inhalation and expected to fly him to hospital.
More to come.
