But the two-time reigning wooden spooners have already managed to surpass both of those marks in the opening six rounds of 2018-19.
CB’s racked up their third victory from four outings this summer and moved to 23 points when they defeated Belmont by six wickets at Cardiff No.2 on Saturday.
This puts Cardiff-Boolaroo, who last made the semis and won the first grade title in 2009-2010, in a four-way share of third place on the Newcastle District Cricket Association ladder.
And their latest triumph, after resuming at 2-46 chasing Belmont’s 244 on day two of the two-day encounter, came courtesy of new recruits Varunesh Sharma and the Bills brothers, Shannon and Aaron.
Sharma (109 not out), a 29-year-old from India, made his first century since arriving at the club this year and takes his season total to 202 runs at an average of 67.33.
Batting at No.4 Sharma, who hit 18 fours and two sixes, featured in a 77-run, third-wicket partnership with Shannon Bills (46) before putting on 109 with Aaron Bills (42).
He oversaw CBs from 2-34 to 4-247.
The team innings lasted 69 overs across the two days and there were 37 overs still available.
Elsewhere in sixth-round fixtures on Saturday and University went clear on top of the standings but were unable to secure an outright result against winless Stockton and Northern Districts despite enforcing the follow on.
Defending 256 at home, University dismissed Stockton for 131 with Josh Taylor taking 6-23 from 11 overs. Sam Jenkinson (47 not out) was the main resistance for the visitors.
Stockton then batted out 36 of the remaining 45 overs and were 3-71 when play was called. Jenkinson (31) again top scored while Taylor ended up with match figures of 7-29 from 20 overs.
Last season’s Australian Country Championships player of the tournament Joseph Price made his first century of 2018-2019 after earlier knocks of 60, 52 and 52.
Price’s 107 from 81 balls, featuring 14 fours and five sixes, saw Wests easily reel in Hamilton-Wickham’s 214 from last week.
After resuming at 1-62, reigning premiers Wests took just 31.2 overs to reach the target at Harker Oval. It was Hamwicks first loss of the season.
Charlestown also went down for the first time this summer, making 204 but falling well short of Toronto’s 301 at Ron Hill Oval.
Tim Cox (5-26) and Dylan Robertson (4-49) were the pick of the Toronto bowlers. Daniel Arms scored 47 for Charlestown.
Merewether’s Tim O’Neill completed an all-round performance at Townson Oval with 5-71 from 27 overs adding to his unbeaten 88 from seven days prior.
The Lions won by 146 runs after dismissing Newcastle City for 172 in 73 overs, which included 52 for Sabres captain Jonty Major.
And at Wallsend the home side were six down when they got past Waratah-Mayfield’s 216.
