FANS flocked to the Newcastle 500 over the weekend as Scott McLaughlin clinched his first Supercars crown in a finale to the 2018 championship.
Supercars announced a crowd total of 162,248 for the three days of racing, down 30,000, or 15 per cent, on the official figure last year.
The real action was trackside and Fairfax journalists roamed the Newcastle 500 precinct all weekend to bring you live updates and an inside look at the atmosphere from the track.
