Lisa Macklin told Domain she has been "inundated" by enquiry since the first house built in St James Road hit the market last week.
The Dalton Partners agent is marketing the three-bedroom, double cavity brick house at No.221 with a guide of $800,000 to $880,000.
The home known as Kinmel was built in 1926 by Frederick Sharman and has been in the Sharman family, who have links to former Hamilton mayor Sam Donn, ever since. A sculpture of Mr Donn, who was mayor around the turn of the 20th Century, is on the former Hamilton volunteer fire station in James Road.
"It's quite unique, being a cavity brick home," Ms Macklin said. "Most there are weatherboard. It has a really good floor plan and a lot of original features, which are untouched, so there's the potential to come in and turn it into something really charming.
"There is also appeal in the location, at the quiet end of St James Road."
It is located close to Blackbutt Reserve and is open for inspection at 9.30am on Saturday.
The median house sale price in New Lambton, according to Australian Property Monitors data, improved from $732,000 for 153 sales last year to $758,500 for the first 35 sales of this year.
Four homes in St James Road have broke the million-dollar mark, according to APM data, including the $1.22 million sale of a renovated home at No.219 in December last year.
