Two men aged 29 and 31, from Anna Bay and Soldiers Point, have been refused bail, accused of having an involvement with a commercial drug supply syndicate operating in the NSW Hunter region.

Police say they seized a kilogram of MDMA, half a kilogram of cocaine, steroids and cash while executing search warrants in Anna Bay and Soldiers Point in August, when the two men were arrested.
The younger man has been charged over 11 drug supply offences, including supply in a large commercial quantity, four counts of drugs supply in a commercial quantity, five counts of supply in an indictable quantity, and drugs supply on an ongoing basis.
The older man was similar charged with supply in a large commercial quantity, as well as three counts of supplying prohibited drugs in a commercial quantity.
They were both refused bail and appeared at Raymond Terrace Local Court on Friday, August 9, where they were formally refused bail to re-appear at the same court on Wednesday, October 9.
Following further investigations, a 24-year-old man from Fletcher attended Belmont police station about 12.30pm Tuesday. He was charged with supply of a prohibited drug in an indictable quantity and was bailed to appear in Gosford Local Court on October 13.
The searches and arrests came after detectives attached to the NSW Drug and Firearms Squad established Strike Force Toongahra to investigate the drug syndicate operating in Newcastle and Port Stephens.
"With the dismantling of this syndicate, police have disrupted the supply of drugs into the Port Stephens area and will continue to do so as we target our investigations, especially in areas of rural NSW," Detective Chief Inspector Brian O'Donoghue of the Drug and Firearms Squad said yesterday.
"While the demand for drugs is always present, there will be criminal syndicates who will try to exploit that to make money from vulnerable people. We will continue to target those syndicates."
Police investigations are continuing.
