Round 3 of the Offshore Superboat Championship returns to Lake Macquarie, with racing at 1.20pm on Saturday, and at 11am and 1pm on Sunday. The best viewing spots will span from Warners Bay foreshore to Eleebana and Marmong Point foreshore reserve.
There will be jet ski racing and junior demonstration runs across both days, before the Superboats. Marmong Point Sailing Club will host a free watersports day for families from 10am to 3pm both days.
Speers Point Park is the venue for a food and wine festival from noon to 8pm on Saturday. And see vintage cars at the southern end of Warners Bay foreshore, from 7.30am to 3pm, on Saturday.
T-28 Trojan aircraft will be the stars of aerobatics displays on Saturday and Sunday from 11.45am. The T-28s can reach speeds of more than 550kph .
On Sunday, a CAC Wirraway, a former military craft, will demonstrate a range of military-style combat manoeuvres and modern, graceful, low-level aerobatics from 9.45am.
