The woman, from Blacksmiths, held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry in game 565 on Sunday, and took home $50,060.60.
"I was out to lunch for a birthday and I decided to play some Keno," the woman said today.
"I have never played eight numbers before but I decided to give it a go.
"I wasn't watching the draw, so it wasn't until I got up to go to the bathroom that I checked my ticket. The lady at the counter had a huge smile on her face and she told me I won $50,000."
The woman said she couldn't believe her luck.
"I ran outside and told my hubby and he was shocked. He thought I was joking. We usually go home after lunch, but we stayed for the afternoon and had some drinks with our friends to celebrate.
"We were in the best mood."
The retiree said her win could not have come at a better time.
"We've both recently retired, so we are going to use this prize to have some fun," she said.
"We are going to go on some trips around Australia and overseas. We have no idea where yet, but we are very excited."
The winning entry was purchased at The Orana Hotel, Blacksmiths.
