McDonald Jones Homes has welcomed news from Housing Institute of Australia (HIA) that the public can now visit display homes without an appointment.
During coronavirus restrictions, visits to display homes were by appointment only or via virtual tours. In line with social distancing restrictions, the number of people per home will now be limited to 10.
McDonald Jones Homes managing director Andrew Helmers said the opportunity for customers to be able to walk through a display home is a shot in the arm for the industry.
"The HIA actions are important and help builders like us grow our business pipeline after a difficult few months," Mr Helmers said.
"Our customers adapted to the COVID-19 restrictions by taking virtual tours of our display homes in their thousands. But for people to be able to walk through a display home again, that is a positive outcome."
McDonald Jones Homes opened three new display homes in Huntlee this month.
"We expect our recently launched $45,000 cash discount off a new home will also be an incentive for customers to visit one of our display homes," Mr Helmers said.
