Perched high above Lake Macquarie, the tightly held area had been in the same family for over 80 years when it was sold last year.
With under 150 blocks to be developed in the entire estate, Ray White's Barry Price expected Munibung Hill Estate to become one of Lake Macquarie's most desired addresses.
He is marketing stage one - The Lakeview release - through a tender process, closing September 3. The first release comprises 11 level lots ranging in size from 531 square metres to 641 square metres with wide frontages designed the maximise the lake views on offer.
"All of the blocks are going to have views but some of these blocks in the first 11 can't be built out," Mr Price said. "They've got nothing in front of them. There's some really good blocks there and they're all flat.
"Interest has generally been from the greater Newcastle Lake Macquarie area. When I sold the site, I had a number of people contact me to say, 'When can I buy land?'. Every fifth person tells a story of when they used to wander around up there as a kid."
Stage one can be viewed between 9am and 10.30am on Saturday and from 10am until 11am on Sunday.
