History Illuminated 2020 asks the question: "What is history good for?". Presented by Lake Mac Libraries and NSW History Council, it's a program full of discussions, lectures and presentations on historical fiction, fact, research and writing. Topics include Service and Seaplanes - The Story of Rathmines RAAF; A Stone Road at Argenton and the Path to Forgotten People; The Convict Valley; Vida: A Woman for our time; Pathfinders: A history of Aboriginal trackers in NSW; The Lost Boys: The untold stories of the under-age soldiers in WWI; Tracking back with Ed Tonks: Local railways in the 70s & 80s; and The Lake: its history and its characters.

Food and market stalls; live music; $2 entry (part of the entry fee being donated to Rural Aid).
LIVE MUSIC

Newcastle indie band Kookshill play two shows at The Cambridge Hotel: 6.30pm (all ages) and 9pm (over 18s). Also, Newcastle band Camino Gold play with punk band Microwavejonny at The Lass O'Gowrie Hotel, and Ezekiel Ox will take to the stage at The Wickham Park Hotel.
