The track, released back in February, was written about an old school friend of Wells who struggled with his sexuality living in the masculine working-class culture of the Hunter.
Wells collaborated with Melbourne director and motion designer Danny McKenna (Mia Dyson, Harry James Angus) and Newcastle's videographer Erling "The Duke" Gronhaug on the clip.
It features overlay footage, images and effects collected from Wells' travels to Byron Bay to record the track with Pearl Jam producer Nick DiDia and footage shot at Carrington and Sawtooth Studios.
