Having welcomed daughter Luca into the world at Gosford on Friday, Williams arrived home 24 hours later only to be whisked away by his assistant coach and water runner to play for the Roos in Maitland.
The whirlwind continued as the visiting Central Coast club went down to the Pickers by 42 points.
"We had a baby daughter on Friday and we only got home from the hospital at around midday on Saturday. The guys were waiting in the driveway to pick me up," Williams said.
"Then we got beat by 40. It was all a blur. I probably should've stayed at home and ideally I wouldn't have played, but we had someone pull out that morning and we already had a few out."
Off the field, Williams is now settling into his new role as a father.
On the field, the dummy-half is keen for Wyong to snap a five-game losing streak when they travel to meet Lakes at Cahill Oval on Sunday.
"I think it's a big game for both of us," he said.
Wyong share fifth spot on the Newcastle Rugby League ladder with Lakes only two points behind.
Williams will be without Tarnae Mahon (concussion), Brock Molan (calf) and Damon Goolagong (hamstring) are uncertain starters while Aaiden Wright returns from a three-match suspension.
Jye Boyle, 17, made his debut against Maitland last round. His older brother Cody (ankle) remains sidelined.
