Motorists in Sydney are being warned of significant delays expected during the FIFA Women's World Cup.

The city is hosting 11 matches across Stadium Australia and Sydney Football Stadium, including the August 20 final, with more than 400,000 tickets already sold.
Fans are being urged to take public transport where possible with about 1800 extra bus, train and light rail services organised across match dates.
On weeknights with matches scheduled motorists are advised to allow extra travel time on roads approaching Olympic and Moore parks as more traffic is added to the already busy evening peak.
"All of NSW is set to get behind this, but we do need to stress that people attending games should plan to leave the car at home, arrive early and make a day or night of it with plenty of local venues in short walking distance of the stadium precincts," NSW Tourism Minister John Graham said.
Parking on-site is set to be very limited with coaches and event vehicles to reduce the availability at both venues.

Transport minister Jo Haylen also called on fans to leave the car at home, with months of planning to ready the public transport network for the large crowds expected.
"We have added thousands of extra transport services and improved wayfinding and walking routes to help fans get to and from both precincts, safely and easily," she said.
Trips to the soccer on public transport trips are included in fans' match tickets.
"Simply show your ticket to transport staff when boarding services on your way to and from the games," Ms Haylen said.
"This is one of the biggest events in Australia since the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and we are prepped and ready to welcome football fans local, interstate and internationals, to cheer on their teams in the heart of our city."
